Supreme Court Rejects Review Please for JEE and NETT Examinations:- The Supreme Court of India rejected a review petition seeking the postponement of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The top court already ordered to continue the examinations as planned in September. The Surpeme Court supported their order that was made on August 17th. Several cases and petitions are registered considering the ongoing coronavirus pandemic to postpone the examinations. Justices Ashok Bhushan, BR Gavai and Krishna Murari announced the decision today.
The top court asked the National Test Agency (NTA) to conduct JEE and NEET as per the schedules. JEE started on September 1st and 8 lakh engineering aspirants are appearing for the examination. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be held on September 13th. "A year from the valuable life of the students cannot be wasted" said the statement from the Supreme Court. The ministers of six non-BJP states filed cases in the Supreme Court saying that the order failed to secure the rights of the students and the court ignored the difficulties that they face during the coronavirus pandemic time.
