Six Killed in a Firecracker Factory Explosion in Tamil Nadu:- Six women lost their lives and three others got injured after an explosion that took place in a firecracker factory in Tamil Nadu. The incident took place in Kattumannarkoil in Cuddalore district. One of the injured is rushed to a local government hospital and the other two injured are critical and are sent to a medical centre. Cuddalore Superintendent of police M Sree Abhinav said that six women lost their lives and the exact reason for the explosion is yet to be unknown. He said that the investigation is currently underway and a case has been registered.

A temporary shelter was seen collapsed after the explosion took place. Smoke from the incident is clearly visible to a long distance and the relatives of the deceased are spotted at the spot. The firecracker industry was owned by Gandhimadi. A small pooja was performed today to start the work for the upcoming Diwali season. The unit has been operating from the past 30 years. Rasathi, Malarkodi, Rathanmbal, Rukmani, Kanaga, Thenmozhi and Chithra were the women present. Gandhimathi's daughter Latha too was present when the incident took place. The cops are currently investigating the matter.
