Telangana Government Issues LRS Guidelines For Unapproved Layouts:- The Telangana government provided a golden opportunity to regularize all the illegal layouts in the state and the Telangana Municipal Department issued orders with immediate effect from Tuesday. The Layout Regularization process started on August 31st and this is open for the registered plot owners and the layout owners from August 26th. The officials informed that the layouts will be regularized by following the issued guidelines. The cut-off date is issued as of August 26th and the LRS registration fee is locked as Rs 1000 and the layout application fee is Rs 10,000. All those who own plots less than 100 yards will have to pay a regularization fee of Rs 200.

The fee is Rs 400 for the plots that are ranging between 100 and 300 yards. It is Rs 600 for the regularization of land between 400 to 600 yards. The Telangana government announced that this scheme is applicable for both municipalities and gram panchayats. The plan is to bring all the unapproved and unplanned layouts to develop the regions and provide all the basic facilities in all these regions. There are minimum norms that should be followed by the layouts and the road width should be 9 meters for the plots that are more than 100 sq meters. If the roads are small, they have to be widened. The amount collected through the LRS scheme will be kept aside in a different account.
