Necklace Road to be Renamed as PV Gnana Marg:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) last evening announced that the Necklace Road in Hyderabad will soon be renamed as PV Gnana Marg after the late and former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. He also said that he would request the Indian government to rename the Central University of Hyderabad as PV Narasimha Rao Central University. Telangana is celebrating the birth centenary of PV Narasimha Rao this year. KCR conducted a review meeting with the officials of Telangana government in Pragathi Bhavan on Friday and KCR took some crucial decisions during the meeting. KCR said that the state would soon pass a resolution demanding Bharata Ratna for the legendary leader.
KCR said "PV Narasimha Rao is a reformer and he was the one who initiated several reforms. He is the symbol of existence of Telangana in the country. His portrait will be installed in the Assembly of Telangana. We will also request the Centre to install PV Narasimha Rao's idol in the Parliament house. We will pass a resolution in the Assembly about renaming the Central University of Hyderabad as PV Narasimha Rao Central University. We are in plans to install PV Narasimha Rao's idol in the Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. His birth place Laknepally will be developed soon". KCR ordered Minister Srinivas Goud to personally visit these places and plan the development.

A committee is formed for the centenary celebrations of PV Narasimha Rao and a PV Memorial will be launched very soon. Former US President Bill Clinton and former UK PMs John Major and David Cameron will be the guests for the centenary celebrations of the legendary leader. KCR is in plans to send personal requests for the Prime Minister, President and the Chief Ministers of various Indian states. The Telangana Sahitya Academy is in plans to publish a book on thee writings and speeches of PV Narasimha Rao soon.
