Modi Launches Transparent Taxation-Honoring The Honest:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a big push to bring out taxes for the country by launching 'Transparent Taxation-Honoring the Honest' platform. He unveiled the Taxpayers Charter and faceless assessment which happens to be the next phase of direct tax reforms. This helps to reward the honest taxpayers. Narendra Modi hinted of rebuilding the pandemic hit the Indian economy at the earliest. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that all the honest taxpayers of the country would play a big role in the construction of the nation. The faceless appeal will be applicable from September 25th. The faceless assessment and the taxpayer charter will be applicable from August 13th, today.

"Truly, this shall mark an important step forward in providing a simple and transparent taxation regime for India" posted Nirmala Sitharaman on her twitter handle. The Indian government undertook several tax reforms in the past six years. The compliance norms are simplified for startups. All the filings of the return, processing of returns and refunds are processed through electronic mode said Nirmala Sitharaman.
