50% Of Our Coronavirus Vaccines Will Be For Indian People Says Adar Poonawalla:- The entire world is working on a possible vaccination for the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Lancet journal published that the Oxford University is way ahead in the human trials and the results have been extremely satisfying. Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of Serum Institute of India said that they are collaborating with the Oxford University to produce the vaccine in India. He said that 50% of the vaccines that are manufactured by the firm would be supplied for the Indian people and the rest half would be manufactured considering other countries of the globe. Adar Poonawalla also said that the Indian government would purchase this vaccination and will offer for free to the people of India. This will be received through the programs of immunization.

Serum Institute of India happens to be one of the biggest vaccination manufactures of the globe. Adar Poonawalla said that if the trials go fine, the results would be favorable and the vaccine will be produced in no time. He said that his firm sought the regulatory clearances to conduct the third phase of human trials in the country. Adar Poonawalla also said that the government is quite supportive after they said that they would give half of the manufactured vaccine to the people of the country. Adar Poonawalla said that if things go well, Serum Institute of India will produce millions of doses of coronavirus vaccine by November or December. The dosage would be over 300-400 million by the first quarter of 2021.

Adar Poonawalla said that it is quite early to make a comment on the price of the dose of the vaccine. Adar Poonawalla said that the Indian government would purchase the vaccine and it would cost around Rs 1000 or even less than that.
