HRD Announces New Guidelines For Online Classes For School Students:- The Ministry of HRD announced new guidelines for online classes for school students during this coronavirus pandemic. The ministry framed the guidelines after several parents raised the concerns about the schools conducting online classes. the screen time and the students spending time before the desktops because of online classes have seen a rise. It was coronavirus pandemic that mandated online classes after the schools are shut. The HRD Ministry issued guidelines with the name 'Pragyata' which recommended that the duration of online classes for the pre-primary students should not last more than 30 minutes in total per day.

The HRD Ministry said that for classes 1 to 8, the students can take up two online classes with 45 minutes each. For the classes 9 to 12, four sessions of classes with 30-45 minutes duration are allowed or recommended. 240 million children in the country are restricted at homes because of the coronavirus pandemic from the past four months. HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that it is the right time to introduce a suitable method to deliver quality education through a healthy mix of schooling at home.

The HRD Ministry asked all the schools and colleges to follow these guidelines at any cost till the coronavirus pandemic comes to an end. With the restrictions, all the educational institutions across the country are closed.
