High-Level Military Talks Between India And China:- After a battle between India and China at the border, both the countries decided to initiate talks. They held a high-level military talks at the Ladakh sector on Monday and the meeting went on for 11 hours. It is heard that the Chinese Army requested the meeting after casualties are reported on both the sides in the recent battle. Harinder Singh, the Lt General and 14 Corps Commander of Indian Army met People's Liberation Army's South Xinjiang Military Region Commander Major General Liu LLin at Moldo. The place happens to be on the Chinese side at the Line of Actual Control. The meeting started at 11.30 AM and it went on for 11 hours.
India wanted China to disengage from the Galwan valley and restore the status quo in Pangong Tso and Hot Springs. This is the second high-level meeting between the military officials and India demanded a timeline from the Chinese. India wants the Chinese troops to go back at least 10 km in the Galwan valley. In the battle on June 15th, 20 Indian soldiers passed away. The sticking point is said to be Pangong Tso.
Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will hold talks today with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi through a video conference. Their Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov too will be present for the meeting.
