India-China Violent Face-Off: 20 Indian Soldiers Killed:- According to sources, in the violent clashes between Indian Army and Chinese Army in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley at India and China Border, 20 Indian soldiers are killed. The violent face-off happened while the process of de-escalation was going on and more casualities can be rise.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that this incident happened on the late evening and night of June 15 in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley as a result of an attempt by the Chinese troops to ‘unilaterally change’ the status quo during de-escalation and the situation could have been avoided if the agreement at the higher level been scrupulously followed by the Chinese side.

Anurag Srivastava, the spokesperson of External Affairs Ministry told that both sides suffered casualties in the violent face-off and the Chinese side departed from the consensus to respect the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Galwan Valley.

According to sources, Indian intercepts revealed that at Chinese side 43 casualties suffered including dead and some seriously injured in this violent face-off at Ladakh’s Galwan valley.

In the evening at the Defence Minister residence, two review meetings are conducted in which External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane were attended.
