Coronavirus Cases In India Cross 82,000 Mark:- The cases of coronavirus are unstoppable in India and the tally reached 82,000 mark. With 3967 cases in the country in the past 24-hours, the total number of cases reached 81,970. There are 51,401 active cases in India and 27,919 recovered from coronavirus in the country as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. 2649 people passed away in the country till date due to coronavirus. As per the statistics, 4.4 million people have been infected with coronavirus across the world. Maharashtra is leading the list with 27,000 cases and Tamil Nadu stands second with 9647 cases. Gujarat stands third with 9591 cases and Delhi is in 8470 cases.

14 Indian states along with the union territories did not report any new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said that the tests in the country crossed two million on Thursday and the tests are doubled in 12 days. 504 laboratories are carrying tests all over the country. India is said to have tested 1540 people per million of its population which is higher for a country like India. The doubling rate of infections slowed down to 13.9 days from 11.1 days from the past two weeks said Dr Harsh Vardhan. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to make an announcement about the extension of lockdown soon.
