MetroMedi Launches Telemedicine Services In Non-Metros:- MetroMedi is rolling out a telemedicine app for all the users to turn a bridge between the patients and the consultant specialists through video and audio. This will make consultation comfortable and there would be no worry of non-availability of doctors. MetroMedi went live last week and is targeted at non-metro markets and is in plans to expand in phases. MetroMedi already boarded 50 doctors from the fields of General medicine, ENT, Orthopaedic, Gynaecologist, Paediatrician, Psychiatrist and Ophthalmologist.
MetroMedi is an omnichannel pharmacy that can even serve during the tough times like coronavirus pandemic. The coronavirus already brought the country to a halt and tough situations prevailed for all those who planned to consult the doctors and non-coronavirus patients are getting proper medical attention. The Centre and the governments of Indian states are currently focused on this crisis as they have no time to address the other critical issues. Visiting the hospitals is not allowed and issues like fever, dental issues and others are struggling for medical assistance.
The situations are even worse in Tier-2 and Tier0-3 cities where the medical facilities are quite low. People from Tier-3 and Tier-4 have to travel for 60km to visit a specialist. If the patient is working on a daily wage, it is a challenge for sure. "We worked on rolling telemedicine services and it was launched much earlier due to the coronavirus outbreak as most of the patients need medical support," says Maruthi Medisetti, the CEO of MetroMedi.
Dilip C Byra started the company in 2018 and MetroMedi and is focused in cities like Vijayawada, Kakinada, Guntur, Rajahmundry and Vizag. Several pharmacy stores are launched to deliver the medicines to their doorstep after the prescription copy is shared through WhatsApp. The identity of the doctors is verified based on the guidelines of ICMR. MetroMedi is also being launched in Telugu and Kannada soon.
MetroMedi is aimed at daily wage workers and it is made into an efficient pricing model and convenient. Pharmacies, Doctors and Patients are the three important stakeholders and MetroMedi is launched to connect these stakeholders. MetroMedi will monitor the smooth functioning and is aimed at working to minimize the challenges of the patients.
