AP High Court Has A Shock For YS Jagan:- YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his government faced a major setback today after the Andhra Pradesh High Court kept aside the orders to make English medium compulsory in all the government schools that are run by the government of Andhra Pradesh. The High Court said that the medium would be the choice of children, their parents and the government has nothing to do with it. AP Government issued two GOs to convert all the government schools into English medium schools from the academic year of 2020-21. Various PILs are filed against the AP Government in the High Court.
Two BJP leaders also challenged YS Jagan's decision in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. A division bench, comprising Chief Justice J.K. Maheshwari and Justice N. Jayasurya revealed their decision. The idea was opposed by politicians, educationalists, academicians and others. Indian Vice President Venkaiah Naidu himself opposed the idea saying that the children should be taught in their mother tongue at school level. AP leaders Chandra Babu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan strongly opposed the move of the AP Government. YS Jagan defended his decision saying that he ensures quality education to the children of the weaker sections of the society.
