Lockdown To Be Lifted In Stages Says Narendra Modi:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conference with the Chief Ministers of all the states to discuss about the coronavirus lockdown. All the state Home Ministers, Chief Secretaries and the Health officials have been asked to attend the video conference along with the data. Modi during his address said that the Centre along with the states should have a common strategy after the lockdown period ends. A common exit strategy will work for the country clarified Modi. He made it clear that the lockdown can be lifted in phases and not in a single go.

"Certain safeguards should be taken in the coming days and the business cannot be as usual. All the states must enforce lockdown. It is a tough decision but the lockdown was taken considering the safety of the people" said Modi. Seven Chief Ministers participated in the video conference with Modi. Home Minister Amit Shah, some of the ministers too were present for the video conference. Some of the Chief Ministers requested for further funds but they received no response from Modi. The discussion about tracing various attendees of Tablighi Jamaat event was also discussed.

Testing, tracking, isolating and quarantine are the steps to be followed in the next couple of weeks of lockdown said Modi.
