Dokka Manikya Varaprasad Joins YSRCP:- Senior politician and ex-TDP MLA Dokka Manikya Varaprasad called it a quit for TDP and he joined YSRCP in the presence of its Chief and CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy today. Dokka Manikya Varaprasad is working as MLC currently and he submitted his resignation for the party today before joining YSRCP. Dokka Manikya Varaprasad said that he was completely unhappy with the way things are happening in TDP. He explained the reasons through a letter and he said that it was sad to be ignored by the party leadership after which he decided to move on.
Dokka Manikya Varaprasad said that he was asked to contest from Prathipadu constituency in the last minute by the party high command before the 2019 polls though he was keen to contest from Tadikonda constituency. Dokka Manikya Varaprasad said that he wanted to join YSRCP in 2015 but he had to join TDP as per the advice from his political guru Rayapati Sambasiva Rao. TDP ex-MLA SR Rahman too joined YSRCP along with Dokka Manikya Varaprasad today in YS Jagan's camp office. Rahman submitted his resignation to TDP during December last year. This is a huge jolt for TDP before the local and municipal elections that are scheduled to take place this month.
