Couple Held For IS-CAA Protests In New Delhi:- A Special Cell from the Sunday cops arrested a couple from Kashmir who is said to have connections with the Islamic State links claiming that they are triggering protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) which created a stir across the country. An FIR has been registered and they are nabbed from Jamia Nagar in Southeast Delhi. Cases have been booked against them under sections of sedition and criminal conspiracy. Jahanzaib Sami (36) and wife Hina Bashir Beg (39) have been arrested and they hail from Shivpora near Srinagar.

The cops said that the couple has links with the Khorasan module of the IS and they are in the city to bring up protests against CAA. Sami works for a private firm in Delhi and the cops gathered much information about the couple after which they are arrested. The couple have been inciting Muslims to participate in the violent protests against CAA. The cops said that the couple was traced from the past few months. The neighbors said that the couple stayed silent and they never interacted with anyone in the neighborhood.

Four mobile phones along with a laptop, an external hard-disk and other material have been seized from the residence of the couple. They were produced before the magistrate on Sunday and the court ordered police custody till March 17th.
