Hyderabad Metro to have 3 New Corridors in Phase 2:- The first phase of Hyderabad Metro came to an end and all the stations, routes are currently operating. The second phase of Hyderabad Metro expansion will start soon and it is expected to have three corridors. Two among them will be connected to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport said NVS Reddy, Managing Director of Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL). He said that the detailed report of phase 2 comprising of three corridors has been submitted to the Telangana government and they would take the final call soon.
The three new corridors are said to be Lakadikapul to RGIA, Nagole to LB Nagar and Raidurg to RGIA. The most delayed stretch to Old City also is included in the second phase of Hyderabad Metro. The groundwork for the second phase has been already started. The entire distance of Hyderabad Metro in phase one is said to be 72 km. The last stretach from JBS to MGBS was launched recently and Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited is in plans to complete the second phase in a quick time.
