YS Viveka Murder: AP HC Allows SIT to Probe:- The High Court of Andhra Pradesh asked the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the state government to probe into the matter of YS Vivekananda Reddy's murder, senior YSRCP leader and ex-MP. The court asked them to go ahead with the investigation and they revealed their stand after a petition filed by former state minister Adinarayana Reddy was heard. TDP MLC Ravi B wanted a CBI investigation to be done. They said that the family members of YS Vivekananda Reddy were suspecting foul play soon after the incident took place.

Adinarayana Reddy was one of the people summoned by the SIT for questioning related to the case. Sunitha, Vivekananda Reddy's daughter suspected his role in the case. YS Viveka's wife Sowbhagya moved to the court saying that the SIT did not make any developments in the case. The government of Andhra Pradesh informed the court that the investigation reached final stages. SIT is said to have examined 62 witnesses in the case and it is yet to get concrete evidence in the case. The court asked directing Advocate General S Sriram to file a counter affidavit to Sowbhagya's petition by January 19th. The next hearing, in this case, is set for January 20th.
