BCG shared the reports clearly indicated that Vizag would soon turn the headquarter for the state. BCG repeated what the six-member committee of experts recommended in its report on December 20. BCG noted that the state government already has Rs 2.25 lakh crores of debts and developing Amaravati would not be a wise decision. BCG also said that Amaravati could be developed as an education hub, food and fisheries hub instead of a capital. The team of ministers along with other members of the committee would meet on January 6th to discuss about the next move.
