Devendra Fadnavis Confident of Forming Maharashtra Government:- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is quite confident on forming the government in the state after the struggle with Shiv Sena who was initially in plans for an alliance. Devendra Fadnavis said they would form the government soon. Speaking to the media, he said that he is not ready to comment on the same but he expressed his confidence. "Maharashtra needs a new government and it will be formed soon. Me or BJP will not make any comments about the ongoing speculations" commented Devendra Fadnavis.

Devendra Fadnavis met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to seek help for the farmers due to the recent rains in the state. Devendra Fadnavis said that he submitted the estimates needed to help the farmers in the state. Devendra Fadnavis wanted Amit Shah to hold meetings with the insurance companies so that they can help the farmers. Senior Sena leader Sanjay Raut has already scheduled a meeting with Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Though BJP and Shiv Sena initially joined hands but they are yet to decide on the government formation after Uddhav Thackarey insisted that one of their leaders should be given a chance to sit in the Chief Minister's chair. BJP got 105 seats while Shiv Sena won 56 seats in the state. NCP bagged 54 seats and Congress managed to get 44 seats.
