AP Loses Rs 70,000 Cr Project For Telangana

AP Loses Rs 70,000 Cr Project For Telangana:- The prestigious Adani Group is all set to invest Rs 70,000 crores in the next twenty years in Andhra Pradesh to build solar-powered data centre parks up to 5 gigawatts. Adani group planned to build these data centre parks in and around Visakhapatnam. This is named as the single largest investment in Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation and an MoU was signed in January 2019 by Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and the AP's Principal Secretary K Vijayanand during TDP's regime. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu too was present during the time.

The latest reports coming across the media say that the Adani Group decided to move the project out of Andhra Pradesh and their new proposal is out to Hyderabad, Telangana. The number of direct and indirect jobs are said to be one lakh. Adani Group partnered with San Francisco-based Digital Realty, the world’s leading global provider of the data center, colocation, and interconnection solutions to make the project true. Several investments already moved out of Andhra Pradesh and if this is true, it would be a major blow for AP. The Andhra Pradesh Government is yet to respond on this.
