TRS and CPI Join Hands for Huzurnagar Byelection:- TRS stepped out with a surprise after the leading party joined hands with CPI in the Huzurnagar by-election. TRS Leaders K Kesavara, Nama Nageshwara Rao, Boyanapally Vinod Kumar met CPI leaders Chada Venkat Reddy, Kunamaneni Sambasiva Rao and Palla Venkat Reddy on Sunday to discuss about the alliance. The meeting went on for one hour and with CPI not contesting in the by-election, TRS requested CPI to support them in the polls.
TRS leaders said that they would support and they agreed with the proposals made by CPI leaders after which both the parties decided to join hands. Telangana Chief Minister KCR thanked CPI leaders for supporting TRS in the polls. Before this, other political parties Congress and TDP requested their support from CPI in the elections. CPI leaders also said that they would hold talks with the national committee leaders and will announce the alliance on October 1st.
