Lok Sabha Passes The Bill to Ban Individuals as Terrorists:- Lok Sabha passed the unlawful activities Amendment Bill 2019 in the house yesterday to allow the designation of an individual wanted for terror-related crimes. Opposition parties like Congress, Trinamool Congress and DMK walked out of the house but the bill was passed. The new bill with amendments was to give more bite for anti-terror provisions. Home Minister Amit Shah introduced the bill and after the opposition parties walked out, Amit Shah said that they did so for vote bank considerations.

Amit Shah clarified that the government will ensure that the law would not be misused. "Many people supported urban Maoism on the name of ideology and we have no sympathy for such people," said Amit Shah. Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav supported the bill. The bill will also be passed in Rajya Sabha said Amit Shah despite of the opposition parties not supporting the move. The opposition parties are not happy with the moves and walked out.
