As Promised, Modi Has a Shock for Mamata Banerjee:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi challenged West Bengal when he was in the state for his election campaign. He said that a bunch of Trinamool MLAs and crucial leaders are looking towards BJP. Two ruling Trinamool MLAs along with 50 councilors joined BJP yesterday which turned out to be a huge jolt for Mamata Banerjee in the state. BJP bagged 18 of the 42 Lok Sabha seats during the recent polls after which several leaders have been looking towards BJP and Narendra Modi. One CPI(M) MLA also joined BJP yesterday.

Modi challenged that the people of West Bengal will offer Mamata Banerjee some rest after 2021 Assembly polls. From two seats, BJP managed to get 18 which is a clear indication that the party gained huge strength. Though Modi claimed that 40 Trinamool MLAs are in touch with BJP, only 2 of them joined as of now. In a surprise, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee clarified that she would the attend the oath-taking ceremony of Narendra Modi on May 30th without fail. Yesterday, Narendra Modi met crucial West Bengal leader Pranab Mukherjee at his residence to seek his blessings.
