21 Opposition Parties to Move to SC on EVMs:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has been demanding probe on the recent elections conducted in the state. He said that Election Commission along with the Centre managed to manipulate the EVMs and demand verification of 50% votes by a paper trail. Chandra Babu along with 21 opposition parties met the press, revealed about several facts and are in plans to file a petition in Supreme Court. They said that it is time to save democracy and at least 50% of the votes should be counted through a paper trail.

Congress along with TDP, AAP, CPI, CPM and other political parties sought protection of voters. They sought the verification of VVPAT paper trails of 50% of all the EVMs. Before this Chandra Babu Naidu met Sunil Arora, the Chief Election Commissioner to raise the issues on EVMs. The Supreme Court wanted the Election Commission to increase the random matching of VVPAT slips with EVMs to five polling booths per Assembly constituency. All the 21 opposition political parties will file a petition in Supreme Court regarding the verification of VVPAT paper trails.
