Mamata Banerjee Calls Rahul Gandhi A Kid:- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slammed Congress and its Chief Rahul Gandhi for his comments on her government. Mamata Banerjee called Rahul Gandhi a kid. "Rahul Gandhi spoke whatever he felt like. I wish not to make any comments on this. He is just a kid. What should I say more about this?" said Mamata Banerjee. Rahul Gandhi staged an election campaign in West Bengal last week and during his speech, Rahul Gandhi alleged that both BJP and Trinamool Congress failed to keep their promises. He said that West Bengal remained the same and had no development over the period.

Mamata Banerjee preferred not to make any comments on the poll promises made by Rahul Gandhi regarding the Rs 72,000 minimum income per anum for the poor. Rahul Gandhi called this a surgical strike on poverty. In West Bengal, Congress maintained enough distance with Mamata Banerjee and her party in the state. 17 Congress MLAs along with one MP moves to Trinamool Congress in the state after the elections that are held in 2016.
