Air Pollution Takes A Rise In Telangana:- The air pollution in the country is reaching all time high and the recent estimates of death due to the air pollution in the country is quite disturbing. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) indicated that the number of deaths in Telangana due to air pollution are said to be 26,000 in 2017. This is sure disturbing and it clearly indicates the rise of the pollution in the newly formed state.

The number of deaths attributable to exposure to ambient particulate matter (PM2.5) in Telangana were 15,239. The deaths due to household air pollution are said to be 8789. The death rate per one lakh population in Telangana is 65 as per the survey by The Lancet that is released in December. Most of the deaths occured between the age group of 50 and 55. Nearly 77 per cent of India’s population was exposed to PM 2.5 of more than 40 micrograms per cubic metres.
