Chandrababu Naidu To Pick Out His Candidates Carefully:- Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has started his moves for the Legislative Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh for 2019.
In a move that could be a spick-and-span sweep of existing sitting MLAs (Member of Legislative Assembly) and a warning shot for senior leaders, Chandrababu is mulling over choosing his candidates cautiously. During a discussion on choosing candidates for Telangana elections, Chandrababu is said to have discussed how sitting MLAs, in general, garner a negative sentiment.
According to inside reports, Chandrababu told his partymen that TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao made a mistake by giving tickets to sitting MLAs this time too. Chandrababu opined that most of the TRS candidates who are given tickets this time have many chances of losing. "By doing so, KCR has laid the ground for his own defeat," the TDP supremo said.
Then again, he wants to take factors such as negative sentiment against sitting MLAs, execution of MLAs in developing the constituency and reaching out to people while choosing his candidates for 2019. It is heard that he will analyze their performance and only then consider whether a certain MLA or MP (Member of Parliament) deserves the ticket. Seemingly, senior leaders such as Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, K.E. Krishnamurthy and Ayyanna Pathrudu will not be given tickets this time.
Some of the TDP leaders, however, feel that Chandrababu will use non-performance as a ground to not give tickets to them.
According to inside reports, most of the sitting MLAs will be ousted and new faces could be given tickets.
However, TDP circles are buzzing with news that some sitting MLAs are of the opinion that CBN is removing them stating non-performance as a reason. Most of the sitting MLAs will be ousted. Some of the seniors also will have to face the music. Some of the MLAs will be changed to Lok Sabha.
In addition, some of those who have been allotted Assembly could be shifted to Lok Sabha.
