Araku Murders: Four Arrested For Supporting Naxals:- The twin deaths of TDP Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswara Rao and former MLA Siveri Soma created a huge sensation across the Telugu states. The incident took place on September 23rd and an investigation on this incident is on. Four persons, including a former MPTC member (Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency) have been arrested in this case and they have been taken into custody. The accused are said to have provided shelter and food for the extremists and they shared some crucial information about the victims before the incident took place.

Yedala Subba Rao (ex-MPTC), Gemmeli Sobhan, Yedela Eswari and Korra Kamala have been arrested in the incident who are natives of Dumbriguda mandal. All the accused have been arrested yesterday. Special Investigation Team headed by DCP K Fakeerappa said that all the arrested are members of Organisation for Protection of Girijan Rights. Ten kgs of explosive material have been seized along with maoist literature and 20 metres of electric wire. Maoists of Nandapur and Narayanapatna area committees participated in this incident. MLA Sarveswara Rao and Siveri Soma were on their way to attend ‘Grama Darshini’ during which they were killed.
