Shocker: 774 People Dead Due Rains And Floods In The Country:- It may be quite shocking but 774 people died in various incidents across the country due to the heavy rains and floods this year in seven states this monsoon. The Union Home Ministry revealed the news. Home Ministry's National Emergency Response Centre (NERC) said that 187 people died in Kerala, 171 in Uttar Pradesh and 170 died in West Bengal and 139 in Maharastra. 52 people passed away in Gujarat and 45 died in Assam and 8 people passed away in Nagaland.

27 people went missing across the country and among them 22 are from Kerala, 5 from West Bengal. 245 people got injured in various incidents due to rains and floods during this monsoon. Kerala and Assam have been hit by massive rains and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been undertaking the rescue operations currently. 15 teams of NDRF are engaged in Assam and 8 teams in Kerala. Despite of taking enough care, 774 people lost their lives due to heavy rains this year.
