Kerala To Receive Heavy Rainfall: Officials Alerted:- Kerala is expected to receive huge rainfall till July 17th revealed the weather reports and the officials have been alerted. Idukki, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kannur, Kasaragod, Kozhikode and other districts will receive heavy showers and they will continue till next week. Over 10 cm rainfall has been recorded in several districts of the state. Some of the schools and colleges have been declared holidays with rains heading. All the quarry mines have shut in Wayanad for the time being.
State Emergency Operations Control alerted the officials and tourists traveling across the hilly areas have been warned of landsliding. 14 relief camps have been launched in each district and power supply has been disrupted in some of the regions. The shutters of Kaiani reservoir were opened. Heavy rains coupled with strong winds have been battering the state for two months.
