A Passenger's Tweet Saved 26 Minor Girls From UP's Train:- It may be quite surprising but 26 underage girls have been rescued from a train in Uttar Pradesh by GRPĀ  and RPF. The incident took place in Muzaffarpur-Bandra Awadh Express. A tweet from a passenger alerted the situation on July 5th after he tweeted that he was travelling in S5 coach and noticed over 25 girls crying and looking for help.

Responding to the tweet, the officials of Lucknow and Varanasi jumped into action and rescued all the 26 girls in just half an hour. Two RPF Jawans came on to the board at Kaptanganj and escorted them to Gorakhpur. All the girls have been from West Champaran in Bihar. With no answer from them, all the girls have been handed over to the child welfare committee. All of them are between the ages of 10 and 14 years. Two men have been taken into custody and the parents of the girls have been informed. This incident created a sensation all over.
