Electric Vehicles Needed For Hyderabad To Turn Pollution Free Says KCR:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao yesterday in a meeting revealed about the importance of electric vehicles to make the state's capital pollution free. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and TSRTC are in plans to introduce electric vehicles in different phases and they will soon be even initiated by private institutions. KCR met the respresentatives of BYD (Build Your Dreams) Auto Industries Company Limited, China in Pragathi Bhavan.

BYD produces 100% electric vehicles for all the necessities. BYD is keen on establishing their factory along with a production unit in Hyderabad so that they can meet the requirements of Telangana and manufacture electric vehicles. KCR promised that the Telangana Government would extend their support for this. Telangana Government is in plans to purchase 500 vehicles in the first phase to promote electric vehicles. BYD revealed that the vehicles can run upto 300-400 kms upon full charge.
