KCR Blames Centre On Fake News Circular:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today called Centre responsible for protecting the freedom of press without violating the civil rights. It was the Centre that cancelled the accreditation of journalists who spread fake news items. KCR said that there are enough laws to deal with the fake news and baseless allegations. "If the accreditation of the journalists will be cancelled, it sends disturbing signals across the country for all the journalists" said KCR in his statement.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi withdrew the government's order within hours about cancelling the accreditation of the journalists. Modi revealed that the matter should be addressed in the Press Council of India. Before this an order has been issued last night the journalists would be denied access if found spreading fake news. Journalists and opposition parties took a serious note of the order calling it an attack on freedom and journalism. Many senior journalists clarified that the released circular lacked clarity about fake news.
