Supreme Court Extends Deadline On Aadhaar Linking:- The Supreme Court shocked the Centre saying that the Government cannot insist people to make it Aadhaar mandatory for bank accounts and other updates. The five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court which has been headed by Dipak Misra, the Chief Justice of India revealed the news. The deadline which has been imposed as March 31st has been extended and this deadline for various services will be updated soon. This came as a major relief for all those who have not linked their Aadhaar cards for the services they have been asked to.

'SC extends March 31 deadline for Aadhaar linkages till the constitution bench delivers judgement on the matter,' PTI reported. The Supreme Court earlier asked the Government to clarify if they are willing to extend the deadline. With Government giving their nod, the Supreme Court extended the deadline. Aadhaar has been made mandatory for several services in the country and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been keen on making Aadhaar mandatory for most of the services, transactions.
