Padmaavat Cannot Be Banned Says Supreme Court:- Maverick director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next outing and his magnum opus Padmaavat has been delayed after the film has been occupied with controversies. Deepika Padukone played the lead role as Rani Padmini in this periodic epic and Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh played other pivotal roles in the film which has been made on a massive budget. The film recently wrapped up all the censor formalities and the movie's name has been updated to Padmaavat.

The film has been slated for January 25th release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. However the film has been banned across four states Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The makers filed a petition across the Supreme Court after the film has been banned across the states. Now Supreme Court ruled out the ban across the states. A state cannot ban a film which can destroy a federal structure. The Supreme Court asked the states of screen the film despite of any challenges. If a state has any problem, they can approach the appellate tribunal informed the apex court.
