Media Advisor To Former PM PV Narasimha Rao Passes Away:- Media Advisor to former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, and retired IAS officer PVRK Prasad (77) passed away in the early hours of Monday.
A source close to him said, Mr. Prasad died of cardiac arrest at a super-speciality hospital in Hyderabad. During his illustrious career, Mr. Prasad held several important responsibilities, including Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and Chairman of Vizag Port Trust. He was also an IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre.
During 1978-82, under his leadership as Executive Officer and later as an Advisor post-retirement, several reforms and important projects were took up by the TTD. The TTD is the body that administers the Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirupati.
Several popular books in Telugu were authored by Mr. Prasad including ‘Naham Kartha’, ‘Asalem Jarigindante’ (Wheels behind the veil), ‘Tirumala Leelamrutham’ and ‘Tirumala Charitamrutam’.
He is survived by wife, a daughter and a son.The cremation would take place today, the sources said.
