Travancore Royal Family About Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple:- Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple is said to be the wealthiest temple across the globe. There have been lot of speculations about the assets of the temple that have been lying inside the secret vaults. With not finding a solution, the Supreme Court had to indulge into the matter. There has been a huge debate about the vault B which is said to have been carrying massive wealth. The chamber is carrying mysterious treasures which has been closed from the past hundred years. The other vaults in the Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple have been keopt open.
The Kerala government lead by CPI (M) has been holding talks with the Travancore royal family which once managed the temple for over years. Travancore royal family revealed that they are not in a mood to change their myths and they wanted Vault B to be closed as it has been done before. They clarified that they continue to stick for the beliefs. Adithya Varma, the member of the royal family spoke to the media about the assets of Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple.
“The secret needs to be preserved and it is sacred. There is a passage to the Vault B which leads to the sreekovil. It should not be exposed to the public and it should be preserved. We heard all the consequences that will take place if Vault B is opened. Me and my family members respect Supreme Court’s decision on this matter however everyone wants the Vault B to be closed. We are not here to blindly oppose everything. The final call will be taken by Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple’s Thantri”.
Aditya Varma revealed that many times in the past, their family members obeyed and followed the decision of the Thantrik. People who are unaware of the sanctity of Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple are making statements to stand in news informed Aditya. Justice Rajan and Justice Krishnan had, in 2012, tried to open the Vault. But one person sustained injury and began to bleed profusely, after which, they had to drop the idea. There are several talks that Vault B has been opened in the past frequently.
Aditya Varma informed saying “Vault B holds couple of chambers and the first chamber has been opened in the past which has a small room. The inner chamber has never been opened and opening it will not take place. We will ultimately follow Supreme Court’s decision of opening the vault”.
