Telangana Ministers KTR, Nayani, Padma Rao Goud Appear in Railway Court?:- In connection with their participation in Rail Roko call given by the Telangana Joint Action Committee in 2012, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, K T Rama Rao and Excise Minister Padma Rao Goud on Thursday appeared in the Railway court at Bhoiguda.
The railway police booked cases against them for organizing protests on railway tracks and obstructing rail traffic at Moula Ali during ‘Sakala Janula Samme’.
The Home Minister, addressing the media after the court hearing, said they did not indulge in any violence but staged dharnas in a peaceful way. “It may be recalled that we did not stop any trains, but railway officials themselves canceled all the trains during our protest and now they are blaming us,” he said.
KT Rama Rao before appearing for trial in the court, tweeted through his twitter account, “On my way to attend umpteenth ‘Rail Roko’ case trial from Telangana agitation days. State Govt has dropped all cases, can’t GOI do the same?”
