Sacked Former AP Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao Addresses Media:- Former chief secretary and chairman of the AP Brahmana Welfare Corporation IYR Krishna Rao, in a vicious attack on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu laid bare the  casteist and partisan politics of the Chandrababu Naidu.

After he was sacked as the Chairperson of the Corporation by the AP Government, addressing a press meet in Hyderabad, Rao said he stands by his Facebook re-posts. Mr. Rao’s posts questioned the arrest of social media activist Inturi Ravi Kiran and felt that the people of AP are not getting the truth.

He further asked, “I did not like the way Inturi Ravikiran was arrested. Social media is meant for free expression of ideas. I fail to understand if we are living in a democracy or fascist set up.”

For the past six months, he said he could not get the appointment from Naidu. He further said, “The campaign that I was irresponsible while discharging the duties as corporation chairman is patently false. I did everything according to rule book. The government never asked me for any explanation of any kind.”

Rao on the question of selecting beneficiaries said, he had opposed the extension of benefits only to TDP men. "Beneficiaries are beneficiaries. There cannot be YSRCP beneficiaries and TDP beneficiaries. I was asked to get mileage for the TDP.”

In another significant dig, he said he cannot cow tow the CM’s son. He was referring to possible interference by Lokesh in corporation's affairs. Rao justifying his criticism of the TDP government over certain issues, sought to know why he was being slammed when leaders like Kesineni Nani and JC Diwakar Reddy criticize the government and are allowed to get away.

Rao also justified his meeting with Bapatla's YSRCP MLA Kona Raghupathi. He further asked, “When Chandrababu can meet Lagadapati Rajagopal, why should not I meet Kona Raghupathi, who is a Brahmin?”

Krishna Rao said Raghupathi is a local MLA and the protocol demands that he be invited to any official programme in his area. He also questioned the decision to renounce entertainment tax to Gauthamiputra Satakarni, which slanted history and allow Baahubali to hike the ticket price.

Rao said that the TDP men have been recruited as employees of the welfare corporation.  I would have resigned if the CM or CMO has asked him, said Rao. He further added that he is not interested in politics as he does not have money or resources. He said people of AP are not getting the truth as there are no neutral media organisations. Books on capital construction and bifurcation of AP will be written by me, added Rao.
