HC Seeks Telugu States Loan Waiver Report:- On Tuesday, the High Court of Telugu speaking states sought status reports on the implementation of the farm loan waiver schemes across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice T Rajani have been leading the bench which has been dealing several PILs that urged the High Court to save several farmers across the Telugu speaking states. Andhra Pradesh government informed the High Court that and independent commission has been appointed.
This commission will take care about the crisis of the farmers keeping their status updated. Telangana government too stepped out revealing about the steps they have been taking towards the farmers. There are talks that the state governments failed in waiving the loans in one go which would benefit the farmers. The High Court asked the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to file a report explaining about the loan waiver scheme and the number of farmers benefited.
