UP CM Offers Prayers At Makeshift Ram Temple In Ayodha:- The prayers at the makeshift Ram temple at the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site were offered by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath for nearly 10 minutes.
The CM arrived in Ayodhya this morning. Adityanath visited Ayodhya for the first time today after becoming the CM of UP. The Chief Minister’s Ayodhya visit comes a day after criminal conspiracy charges were leveled against senior BJP leaders LK Advani, Uma Bharati and Murli Manohar Joshi and nine others by the CBI court in the 1992 Babri Masjid case hearing yesterday.
The BJP veterans as they arrived a Lucknow guest house yesterday morning were greeted with flowers by the UP CM and held a meeting with them before they left to appear before the court.
After its massive sweep of the assembly elections in the state in March this year, the BJP which now rules both at the Centre and in UP, has defended its leaders saying they are “innocent and will come out unscathed.”
Sakshi Maharaj, the party’s lawmaker from UP, turned up at the Lucknow court for a “darshan (divine vision) of Advaniji. , “No power on earth will be able to stop the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya,’ said Sakshi Maharaj.
Speculations arose on the UP CM’s visit on whether the Ram temple agenda, pushed to the backburner by the BJP for years amid a court battle, is being brought back to the party with an eye on the 2019 national elections.
The CM who also inspected the condition of the Sarayu river in the temple town, will address the BJP workers and attend a law and order meeting before returning to Lucknow later this evening.
Yogi for many years had been considered a Hindutva symbol of the BJP and his poll campaigns have consistently held the promise of the Ram temple construction in Ayodhya.
