Balladeer Gaddar Finally Bids Adieu To Naxalism

Gummadi Vittal Rao, popularly known as Balladeer Gaddar has finally bid adieu to Naxalism.

Balladeer Gaddar, is well known for his Maoist ideology and as a revolutionary writer, during the intensified Maoist movement.

Gaddar made an announcement at a public meeting, that he is quitting the Communist Party Of India (CPI) Maoist party, with which he had been associated for more than 25 years. He further said, from now onwards, he will embrace Ambedkar, Phule ideology and serve the poor.

During early 1990s, Gaddar was the face of the Naxal movement in the United Andhra Pradesh. He spread the Maoist ideology through his revolutionary songs and writings among youth. Gaddar even waged a war against the then governments on exploitation of downtrodden and marginalized communities and injustice dispensed out to poverty-stricken people.

He even faced life threats from the governments, and was survived by a deadly attack from his rivals, some twenty years ago.

Gaddar said that his new task is to fight against “Dorala Telangana” and bring in social Telangana. He will extensively tour Telangana and ascertain the plights of people, under K.Chandrasekhar rule. He further said, he will also visit the other parts of South India, to know people's problems soon.

Earlier, a few weeks back, Gaddar, was in the news, for turning spiritual, by participating in religious rituals, and visiting various temples in Telangana.
