With the sudden death of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, things changed drastically across the political circles of Tamil Nadu. The Election Commission of India announced that the by-election in Jayalalithaa’s constituency RK Nagar will take place on April 12th. All the parties have taken this bypoll quite prestigiously and are working currently on the candidates. Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa revealed that she will contest from RK Nagar in the bypolls.
O Panneerselvam who has been the most loyalist to AIADMK walked out of the party after he was asked to quit from the chair of Chief Minister. Sasikala has been sent to Bengaluru jail and now all these took the RK Nagar bypolls seriously. On the other DMK too is trying hard to dominate in the constituency which will give them extra mileage politically. We have to wait and see who will make it in the key battle.
