Although opposition parties such as Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has been continuously attacking the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) for farmers’ suicides as well as poor relief work during the torrential rains, according to a survey, it has been proved that the domination of the ruling party continues in the area.
A Survey conducted by the Center of Sephalogy Studies (CPS) in all the 119 constituencies from 21st to 29th of September, ahead of the formation of new districts in the state has proved the popularity of TRS.
Survey says that TRS is going to bag 109 out the possible 119 seats if elections are held at any times. Doubling the vote percentage of 34 percent in the 2014 Assembly Elections, the TRS has got 68 percent of vote percentage in the survey.
Assaduddin Owaisi’s MIM has got the second place with 7 seats, winning all from the old city. The Congress has managed to win 2 seats and TDP as well as YSRCP’s account has remained unopened.
The TRS workers were seen jubilant after the result, while TDS workers were in introspection mode, according to the reports.
