CM KCR Firm On Adding Three More Districts In Telangana

By standing firm on his stand to add three more districts in Telangana, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao discussed the issue with Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leaders. He discussed the issue of adding Gadwal, Janagama and Siricilla in the list of new districts on the growing demand from people by Dussehra, October 7th.

KCR said, “Already, 17 New Districts were approved. There is strong demand from people to create three other Districts as well. Why should we disappoint them? In Arunachal Pradesh, There is a District for every 9,000 people. So, Delimitation of existing District into 4 new Districts shouldn't be a concern.”

By inquiring the possibility of four new districts in Mehbubnagar, the CM has ordered Mehbubnagar, Warangal and Karimnagar district collectors to submit a report on the possibilities     of making Gadwal, Janagama and Siricilla as new districts.

The total new district numbers will increase to 20, if the three districts are added into the state and the overall count will increase to 30.
