Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on the occasion of Teachers’ Day celebrations stressed on technology implementation in all schools across the state.

He said that "all schools in the state should get electronic classrooms. The future belongs to automation and Internet of things." He also highlighted the success of technological initiatives in the recent Krishna Pushkaralu.

“Today, we are living in a completely different world altogether. Teachers should take advantage of the technology to improve the standards of education,” said Mr. Naidu.

The Chief Minister also said that "knowledge will become a theory if it remains on papers, instead teachers should make the students work in the practical environment. He advised having innovation centers right from the schools to universities across the state. He said that all schools in the state will get Wi-Fi connections by the end of this year. Despite giving top priority to education, in some areas, schools are languishing due to lack of infrastructure. He said in many schools students are still sitting on the floor and said every school will be provided with benches soon."

Mr. Naidu also urged teachers to contribute towards Swachh Andhra initiatives. He asked all the teachers, students to participate in water conservation programs initiated by the state government. He also invited new ideas from both teachers as well as the students to help improve ongoing programs.

Later, he also presented the best teacher awards to 150 teachers belonging to various schools, colleges and university professors across the state. The government has increased the cash reward of the best teachers from Rs 3,000 to Rs 20,000 and they were also presented a tab.

The program was attended by ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Prattipati Pulla Rao and Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao. Officials from the education department also attended the program.

All the authorities were asked to use KYZALA applications by the Chief Minister. He suggested using Internet of things for Real-time Governance.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also expressed unhappiness over the development of Pulse Survey works. He directed the officials to complete the work before September 30. Addressing the officers through a teleconference, the Chief Minister directed them to complete the work with accuracy in data.
