TTD Trust Board grants Rs 10 Cr to Institute for Disabled

The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) Trust Board decided to allot Rs 10 crore as seed capital for Sri Venkateswara Institute of Research and Rehabilitation. The disabled center is run by Dwaraka Tirumala Devastanam. TTD Trust decided to allot Rs.8 lakh from Rs 2 lakh for construction of temples in Agency areas as part of Dharma Pracharam.

Dr Ch. Krishnamurthy is the chairman of TTD Trust Board. The board held a meeting with the chairman on Tuesday.

After the meeting Dr Krishnamurthy along with executive officer D. Sambasiva Rao spoke to the media persons about their new imitative. They also released the Promo CD on Sri Krishna Pushkarams.

TTD constructed the Lord Venkateswara replica temple in PWD grounds in Vijayawada which will open for devotees on August 7.

The TTD Trust are assuming that over one lakh pilgrims will visit the temple every day during pushkarams. The chairman said “TTD will also  provide annaprasadam and darshan to the devotees. The board has decided to allot 2.93 acres to the railways ministry towards the development of Tirupati West station for the benefit of pilgrims on nominal payment basis. The board has asked the railways to complete the development works within a year.”

He said “following representations from the postgraduate students of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati the board has decided to pay the pending stipends to them and later reimburse it from the government. TTD earned Rs 15.34 crore during the e-auction of human hair in May and June.”

Disclosing his deliberations with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada on Monday, he said that “the Chief Minister wants Tirupati city to develop.He suggested that Tirupati be developed as a medical hub with modern medicare facilities in TTD-run hospitals. We will provide maximum services to the common people as the TTD is run by them, who come from across the country in lakhs to have darshan of Lord.”

Speaking on this occasion, the chairman complimented TTD EO and Tirumala JEO K.S. Sreenivasa Raju for making extraordinary arrangements for the ensuing Krishna Pushkarams in PWD grounds at Vijayawada.

“The CM has appreciated the arrangements of TTD during the Godavari Maha Pushkaram last year. And this year we are making much better arrangements to make the river fete a huge success,” he said. Adding further he said, the Krishna Pushkaram ‘Shobha Yatra’ will commence from Tirumala on August 3 and will reach on August 6. Our temple will open on August 7 and Krishna Harathi will be performed every day,” the chairman maintained.
