Every year lakhs of Indian students apply for the visa for study purpose. This time around 30% visa applications of Indian students was denied by immigration of New Zealand. According to the authorities, most of the applicants were not really coming to study. So, because of which thousands of Indian students visa were denied starting from December 2015 till May 2016.
Around 51 institutions were rejected which mostly include polytechnical institutions. A total of 3,176 applications were rejected within the period of 6 months.
Most of the applications were declined because the authorities felt that the applicant was not really coming to study. They also were rejected as officials felt the student cant support his education and stay lack of enough money.
The authorities also clarified that “these rejected applications are not fraudulent but just that they are not up to the immigration specifications.”
