State Transport Officials Seize 61 School Buses in Two Days

The State transport officials continue to seize illegal school buses for the second day in Hyderabad. The officials seized around 61 school buses from last two days. Mostly the school bus drivers were booked as they did not have valid license or documents. Others were seized because they lack fitness certificate and permit.

Officials conducted checks at Mehdipatnam, SR Nagar, Dilsukhnagar, Kothapet and other localities were schools are there.

According to Joint Transport Commissioner,T. Raghunath, the drive will continue for the next few days. “Notices will be sent to the school managements for the violations. We have already started booking cases against them. Since the issue pertains to the safety of school children, it is being taken seriously.”

Raghunath also said they are seizing buses only after the school hours so that students routine is not disturbed.
