An 18-year-old woman committed suicide at her house in Kishangarh, Delhi.

According to the girl’s family, a group of neighborhood boys sexually harassed the victim. However, the police found that, she had been in touch with a guy, in the group, for the past one year.

Abetment to suicide case was registered against that guy, DCP (south) Ishwar Singh said.

The woman, along with her sister, used to work at a beauty parlour. According to the sister, the victim was being harassed by the youth, who had moved into the locality a few months ago. She suffered continuously and was unable to tell about it to anyone.

The victim’s sister said that, she observed her phone got damaged and when asked about it, she narrated me the entire story.

"When I asked her about the reason, she wept and said the youth and five of his friends had dragged her into a nearby jungle and molested her. When she threatened to go to the police, they thrashed her and broke the phone," she said.

On the other side, the victim’s mother claimed that, the guy, who was arrested,  even snatched her daughter's belongings, but had returned them, when confronted.

The girl’s family registered the complaint in Vasant Kunj police station and on their return, they found their daughter hanging from a ceiling fan.
